The wiring method is divided into two kinds: direct connection method and coupling method. The direct connection method is only applicable to the identification of uncharged cables, and the coupling method can carry out accurate identification without charging.
A) Direct connection method: the ground cable of the cable to be identified is disconnected, and the signal current output line (red) is connected to any one of the good phases, and the other end of the phased connection is connected to earth. The signal current return line (black) connects to ground.
Identification method: First determine the phase, the initial amplitude of the indicator head shall prevail, according to the direction of the figure, let the current flow through the direction of the receiving clamp. If it is a cable to be recognized, the initial swing direction of the head pointer should be to the right. In the phase judgment process, if there are multiple cables with the same phase, the amplitude can be compared. Adjust the sensitivity knob to the appropriate position and compare the amplitudes. The largest amplitude is the cable to be identified.
B) Coupling method: Connect the two ends of the cable to be identified to the ground (via core wire, shield, or tantalum) to form a closed loop. The cable whose output direction of the coupling clamp is the same as that of the direction of the receiving coupling clamp is the cable to be identified.
Identification method: To ensure that the output coupling clamp and the receiving coupling clamp are in the same direction, the phase is first determined, and the initial amplitude of the indicator head is used as the standard, and the current is allowed to flow in the direction indicated by the receiving clamp in the direction shown in the figure.
