According to reports, in order to promote the diesel-gas dual fuel retrofit project of the Yangtze River shipping vessel, ZTE Henghe Investment Group signed a cooperation agreement with Sinotrans Changhang Group Co., Ltd. and Hong Kong and China Gas Co., Ltd. at the beginning of this year. Up to now, the design of the ship dual fuel system retrofit design and the trial test outline has been completed. The project has determined that the Changhang Group Dongfeng Shipyard will transform the Changhang Group “Changxun 3†bulk carrier. After the completion of the project, the ship will become China's first large inland river transport vessel using diesel-gas dual fuel system. At present, the design and type approval of various new types of equipment required for ship reconstruction have been completed. Next, the real ship reconstruction work of “Chang Xun 3†is about to start. It is expected that the actual ship reconstruction will be completed in July, and the actual ship mooring test and sea trial will be carried out.
At the same time, ZTE Henghe is also actively promoting the construction of natural gas refueling stations and the development of standards for dual fuel engines. With the maturity of related transformation technology and the smooth progress of its supporting system engineering, the group will promote this technology in a wide range of areas in China. Experts said that natural gas is not only clean and sanitary, but also cheaper than diesel. Therefore, the implementation of the dual fuel retrofit project will not only promote the promotion of inland waterway energy conservation and environmental protection, but also bring obvious economic benefits to shipowners.
