Determination of Resistance to Lodging Resistance of Rice Stem by Lodging Resistance Tester

There are many limitations to the high yield of rice, and lodging is a very important factor. Among the factors affecting lodging, the physical properties of stems are very important factors that affect the physical properties of different cultivars or combinations of rice culms such as plant height, lower internode length, upper internode length, and basal stem cross sectional area. The study of the basal wall thickness of the stalk, the lodging resistance ability of the lodging resistance tester was comprehensively analyzed and evaluated, aiming to improve the physical strength of stalks through the improvement of the physiology of stalks, and to solve the contradiction between plant height and lodging resistance. High-yield breeding and high-yield cultivation provide theoretical basis.

The determination of the lodging resistance tester found that the lodging resistance was significantly negatively correlated with the length of the first elongate section, and the negative correlation coefficient with the length of the second elongate section was high, but it did not reach a significant level. The correlation with the length of the interspinal neck is not significant ( (0.05) o Therefore, the shorter the length of the stalk elongation internodes, the stronger the lodging resistance, and the more the base of the stem segments, the greater the impact on lodging ability. The internode length of the panicle neck had little effect on lodging ability. Breeding of the first and the second elongated extensions with shorter lengths and longer internode lengths through breeding methods can increase the plant height without affecting the lodging resistance. The length of the first and second elongate joints can also be controlled by means of cultivation to increase lodging resistance.

The lodging resistance was significantly positively correlated with the basal wall thickness and stem wall cross-sectional area of the base. The thickness of the base stalk is another important factor that influences lodging. Increasing the base stalk thickness significantly increases the lodging resistance. In conclusion, the results from the Lodging Resistance Tester indicated that the lodging resistance of plants is the result of the interaction of the physical traits of the basal stem. The weakening of any one physical trait will affect the lodging resistance.

After measuring and analyzing the lodging resistance of rice stem stalks by the lodging resistance tester, the following suggestions were made to increase the yield. When breakthroughs in biological production are the main targets, when super-high-yield varieties are cultivated or super-high-yield groups are cultivated, completely The restriction on plant height can be appropriately relaxed, but it is necessary to emphasize shortening the length between the first and second nodes, increasing the proportion of spikes and internode lengths in plant height, and strengthening the physical strength of the basal culms, that is, lodging resistance traits. Optimize the combination to increase rice resistance to lodging.
