White tungsten at room temperature flotation

The normal temperature flotation of scheelite has not been introduced in the previous beneficiation data, making it difficult to master in ore analysis, design process and actual operation.

Many elections have not dared to adopt this method so far. Based on my own experimental design and production operations, I have summarized the understanding of room temperature flotation of white tungsten.

Scheelite often coexist with phosphates, silicates, sulfates, carbonates, fluorides. Therefore, it is difficult to select qualified concentrates, and often associated with sulfide ore, so the difficulty in mineral processing is relatively large. The quality of concentrate is difficult to improve.

one. The following conditions must be met by normal temperature flotation.

1. Calcium fluoride content below 15%

2. The content of sulfide ore is below 2%. If it exceeds this content, it must first float the sulfide ore.

3. The apatite content must be below 15%

4. The water temperature is above 15 degrees. If the flotation reagent is not sufficiently reacted at a lower water temperature, water warming must be performed.

5. Water quality can only be flotation in soft water. Try to avoid using recycled water.

two. Process Design

A succinct analysis of the physicochemical properties of the ore, gangue and associated minerals. If it is suitable for normal temperature flotation, the process design can be carried out, and the following aspects must be paid attention to in the process design.

1. Design should be fully considered. It is necessary to select qualified concentrates and reduce tailings to increase recovery rate.

2. The grade and multiple of scheelite in the rough selection are analyzed and calculated, and the grade of coarse concentrate must be 8~10%.

3. There is only one tailings in the process. The return of the fine tail to the rough selection will inevitably affect the rough selection concentration and recovery rate. The process design must consider the influence of the fine tail on the rough tailings.

4. Selected white tungsten is often inhibited by a large amount of water glass. It is difficult to float in the rough selection after suppression, which affects the recovery rate.

three. Flotation production operations.

1. The crude selection control PH value, between 9.5~10, the quality of coarse concentrate is improved as much as possible, and the grade of coarse concentrate is controlled at 8~10%.

2. Concentration control, the concentration of rough selection is controlled at 35~43%. If the concentration is too small, the concentration will decrease by 5~8% after the fine tail returns to rough selection. A large amount of white tungsten is difficult to float, resulting in an increase in tailings. The inspection of tailings is minus 120 mesh to minus 200 mesh in more than 50% of the total tailings.

3. After adding 2.3~2.5 kg of ton of water glass to the crude selection, the silicate gangue is basically suppressed, and the calcium-containing gangue such as calcite and apatite enters the selection stage with the coarse concentrate.

4. In the selection stage, since the coarse concentrate is controlled at 8~10 degrees, a large amount of water glass must be added in the selection stage of 10~15 kg and 1 ton. Calcite, silicate gangue is basically inhibited, and apatite is more difficult to be inhibited to affect the quality of concentrate.

5. Due to the addition of a large amount of water glass in the selection, the fine tail is likely to cause pressure grooves and the like when returning to the rough selection, resulting in an increase in the amount of the collector .

four. Choice of medicament

1. Adjusting agent with sodium carbonate

2. Water catching agent. Use 731 and 733. The ratio is 6:1

3. Inhibitor: water glass. Modulus 2.6

Fives. Review

The normal temperature method has the following advantages and disadvantages compared with the heating.

1. The error between the physical quantity of the heating method and the theoretical recovery rate is about 10%. The normal temperature method has a small error with the theoretical recovery rate, which is about 2%.

2. Due to the warming method, some fine-grained white tungsten flows away with water during the concentrated precipitation of the coarse concentrate, and there are two tailings. The normal temperature method has only one tailings.

3 dosage: the dosage of the normal temperature method is 5~8 yuan per ton than the heating method.

4. In terms of staff wages, the normal temperature method has been used less, saving wage costs.

5. In operation, the normal temperature method is difficult to control, and the heating method is easy to control.
