Wireless bridges are usually used in pairs for transmission and reception. They are also called point-to-point wireless transmission. However, they can also be used in point-to-multipoint or wireless relay mode in practical applications. The following Xisheng Microvision detailed the differences between the three major wireless bridge transmission modes.
1, wireless point-to-point transmission
The point-to-point transmission mode of the wireless bridge is actually a face-to-face transmission of the two bridges A and B in a straight line by the transmitter and the receiver, and they are hand-connected by using the wireless bridge at the same frequency of the two wireless bridges. .
The actual application in wireless monitoring engineering is: if there are many cameras at the front end, and they can be integrated and transmitted at the same time, the centralized cameras can be aggregated by using multiple switches and then relied on multiple paths through a wireless bridge. The transmitter uses a bridge with the same frequency to receive wireless signals at the receiving end of the equipment room. However, there is only one network camera at the project site, then the camera signal can be directly connected to the network of the wireless bridge device by a network cable. In this transmission mode, the loss is small and the transmission distance is long, which is suitable for non-blocking or long-distance transmission.
2. Wireless point-to-multipoint transmission
The wireless bridge point-to-multipoint transmission is to transmit A, B, and C three-point networks, set up the same frequency through wireless bridges, and establish multiple LANs.
In wireless monitoring applications, it is usually the front end that can transmit multiple bridges, and the receiving end uses a bridge to receive. This method is suitable for monitoring points or cameras more and more dispersed, although point-to-multipoint transmission, but the maximum is also limited, it is best not to exceed 1 to 8.
3, relay transmission
The relay mode is between A, B, and C. The signal of A is to be transmitted to C. The two points are blocked by C. However, if A and C are not blocked by B, you need to The signal at point A is transmitted to the relay point at point B, and then the signal is transmitted to point C through point B so that the signal at point A is transmitted to point C through relaying. In wireless monitoring, if you want to transmit over the air in the case of an obstruction, you can only use relay mode. This transmission mode has a large loss, and it is recommended that it can be relayed at most 3 times.
The above three kinds of wireless transmission modes are more commonly used solutions in wireless monitoring, and specific application suggestions are combined with environmental consulting Xisheng Microvision technicians.
