The first municipal meteorological instrument verification branch in China

In order to further improve the comprehensive observation system construction, Zhejiang Meteorological Bureau actively carried out the pilot work of meteorological equipment system construction, and focused on promoting the construction of municipal meteorological equipment centers and municipal meteorological equipment verification offices. A few days ago, the Jiaxing Meteorological Bureau established the first municipal meteorological instrument verification branch in the country. The automated measurement verification business system and management system established by the verification branch undertake the calibration and verification work for monitoring items such as air temperature, air pressure, humidity, precipitation, wind direction, wind speed, visibility, etc. in 76 regional automatic monitoring stations in the city. The meteorological instrument verification has verified the situation, which further improves the accuracy of meteorological monitoring equipment and lays a solid foundation for improving the accuracy of meteorological forecasting.

It is reported that the Zhejiang Meteorological Administration will also complete the construction of two city-level meteorological instrument verification offices before the end of the year and complete the construction of all municipal meteorological instrumentation verification offices in the next year, and fully carry out the calibration of regional auto stations.
