[China Instrument Network Instrument R&D] On November 11, the acceptance of the “Development of Large-scale High-precision Diffraction Grating Sculpting System†of the national major research equipment development project was held at Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The acceptance expert group heard the “Report on the Development Project of Large-scale High-precision Diffraction Grating Engraving Systemâ€, “Report on the Management and Application of Large-scale High-precision Diffraction Grating Engraving System Development Projectâ€, and “Acceptance of a Large-scale High-precision Diffraction Grating Engraving System Development Project The "Test Report" and "Financial Audit Report on the Development of Large-scale High-precision Diffraction Grating Grating System Development Project" were introduced. The operation of equipment and equipment was reviewed on-site and the relevant materials provided were reviewed. After questioning and discussion, the project agreed to pass the acceptance check.
Changchun Institute of Optics and Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences is the birthplace of Chinese gratings. As early as 1958, the first grating scribing machine and the first grating were developed in China. The gratings developed here were used in the first spectroscopic equipment for the atomic bomb explosion test in China. With the continuous development of science and technology, large-area high-precision grating has become a “short board†that restricts the technological development in related fields in China. Therefore, in 2008, under the coordination of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Finance, Changchun Institute of Optics and Astronautics once again assumed the task of developing a "large-scale high-precision diffraction grating characterization system."
Because the project is aimed at the world leading level of grating characterization technology, its index requirements are high, the key technologies are difficult, the disciplines are numerous, and the task workload is large. Project advancement has encountered unprecedented difficulties. However, the Changchun Institute of Optics and Technology and the research and development team are not afraid of failures, bold innovations, ingenious ideas, and diligent studies, adhering to the scientific attitude of "defying Qingshan not to relax, faced with dangerous obstacles and intransigence", and bear heavy pressure and pursuit. The ultimate, day-to-day and day-to-day hardships have been overcome. It took eight years to conquer 18 key technologies, achieved nine innovative results, and finally completed the project's tasks. It succeeded in developing the world's largest mid-echelon grating with an area of 400 mm by 500 mm. .
The completion of this national major scientific research equipment development project has proved China's scientific and technological strength from three aspects: First, China's precision machining technology has reached the international frontier; second, China's large-area mid-echelon grating manufacturing technology has reached the international frontier level. Third, the era of strategic deployment in China's related high-tech fields has been ended due to the lack of large-area high-precision gratings.
