RG71FM Glass Break Detector Installation Notes

Israel's RISCO's RG71FM glass break detector uses microprocessor-based digital signal processing technology. Probing should be based on a pattern recognition analysis of the characteristic sound frequencies and sequence of window glazing. The RG71FM glass break detector accurately detects cracks in flat plates, sandwiches, wired wires, and tempered glass, while ignoring false alarm sounds, such as broken windows, ring-type sounds. The RG71FM glass break detector detects glass breakage on a wide range of window frame structures, glass strength, house sound effects, and windows or doors covered with curtains.

The "free adjustment" feature of the RG71FM glass break detector eliminates "human error" and simplifies installation. The sensitivity of each RG71FM glass break detector is calibrated separately during production. The maximum detection range is 9 meters with a memory lock indication.

The RG71FM glass break detector has a high installation flexibility: flush mount, surface mount or swivel mount on any wall or ceiling. Optional rotating brackets are provided for excellent installation and performance in any environment.

Israel's RISCO's RG65 glass break tester is used to verify that the RG71FM glass break detector is properly installed. The sound coded message from the RG65 glass break tester remotely places the RG71FM glass break detector in test mode without opening the detector housing. The RG65 Glass Break Tester produces flat, tempered, and wired/laminated glass breaking sounds.

The RG71FM glass break detector has a continuous “silent microphone” monitoring test function, which is performed by monitoring the ambient sound. After 24 hours of complete silence, the RG71FM Glass Break Detector indicates a microphone failure with a flashing LED light.
