PetroChina plans to build the first degradable plastic project in Qiong

The reporter learned from related departments yesterday that China National Petroleum Corporation plans to build the first project to produce 50,000 tons of biodegradable plastics in Hainan Province. The project has settled in Hainan Province and will effectively eliminate "white pollution", reduce the concentration of carbon dioxide emissions, and promote the construction of an ecological province in Hainan Province.
It is understood that the annual consumption of disposable plastic bags in Hainan Province is about 12,000 tons, of which more than 80% are non-degradable plastic bags. A large number of waste plastic bags were thrown away at will, destroying the environmental sanitation of urban and rural areas. If a large number of non-degradable plastic bags are discarded in the soil, it will affect crops to absorb nutrients and moisture, resulting in reduced crop production, and pollute the soil and groundwater; if you use the incineration method will produce a large number of toxic gases.
The project mainly uses starch as raw material, and needs about 30,000 tons of starch annually. After the project is completed, it can not only reduce the concentrated emission of carbon dioxide, but also replace the non-degradable plastics that are contaminated and extend into a more rational and efficient product chain.
