Luoyang Petrochemical PTA plant has a production scale of 325,000 tons/year and uses PX as raw material to produce refined terephthalic acid (PTA). The production process includes gas, liquid and solid three-phase reactions, and the equipment is complex and stable. It is difficult to produce. The annual design start time is only 7600 hours. Every year, it is necessary to arrange the shutdown of the equipment.

For a long time, no unplanned downtime has occurred throughout the year, and it has always been the common goal pursued by PTA devices. In 2010, Luoyang Petrochemical's PTA plant put forward two goals of smooth production and improvement of indicators, organized technology and management personnel to learn advanced knowledge from advanced enterprises, actively carried out stable production and labor competitions, and carried out targeted internal training in a solid manner. The technological transformation of the steam condensate system and the circulating water system enabled the comprehensive energy consumption of the device to jump to the second place in the country, and realized that there was no plan to suspend work for the whole year since the start of construction.

In 2011, the device actively exerted the potential of self-management of the team, and included 34 indicators such as PTA product quality and device energy consumption into the assessment content of the team and fully mobilized the vitality of the team. On the basis of ensuring safe production, they also aim at optimizing the operation of equipment and upgrading technical indicators. Organizing technical personnel to carry out optimization of production operations, adding refined filter presses for maintenance, and drying gas carriers for oxidation units. The transformation was carried out, and the potential safety hazards were eliminated. The bottlenecks that constrained smooth operation were eliminated. While keeping the equipment production running at a high load, the main economic and technical indicators were also significantly improved.
