Recently, the Taining County Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision received numerous complaints from users of the LPG gas in the county, which reflected the problem of leakage of liquefied gas cylinders. The Bureau immediately investigated the matter.
On the 14th, the investigators came to the liquefied gas filling station in the west of Taining County. This is the only liquefied gas filling station in the county. The survey results showed that all the cylinders used here were inspected.
Where is the problem? The investigators came to the complainant's home on the Jinhu Road in the downtown area. Shortly after unscrewing the liquefied gas cylinder switch, they smelled the unpleasant smell of liquefied gas and heard faint gas roar. After careful inspection, the investigators found that the leak was not a steel cylinder but a small pressure reducing valve. The pressure relief valve was disassembled and the thin layer of rubber inside the valve was severely worn and aged. The original pressure relief valve has been used for nearly 5 years. The investigators immediately replaced the new pressure relief valve for this user, and the liquefied gas no longer leaked. Several of the subsequent visits were also gas leaks due to aging of LPG valves or gas pipelines. Most of these users' valves and gas lines were used for four or five years, and the longest ones have been used for nearly seven years.
Taining County Quality and Technical Supervision staff said that the use of liquefied gas relief valve is 2 years, the connection of liquefied gas pressure reducing valves and stoves, the use of the gas transmission tube is 1 year, but many liquefied gas users often overlook the reduction The service life of pressure valve and air hose is not changed regularly.
