The new ethylene project will have a production capacity of approximately 1.8 million t/a, and the MTO ethylene project will have a new production capacity of 400,000 t/a. It is expected that by 2010 China's total ethylene production capacity will reach 15.85 million t/a. From 2005 to 2010, the average annual growth rate of ethylene production capacity in China is 15.04%.
