On July 1, the state officially implemented the III emission standard for diesel engine countries. When some heavy-duty truck companies started to raise costs, China National Heavy Duty Truck has pre-empted the "secret weapon" - the EGR engine. Cai Dong, president of China National Heavy Duty Truck, said: "We spent two years investing more than 200 million yuan to develop an EGR engine with independent property rights, and it is fully in line with China III emission standards. China National Heavy Duty Truck Jinan Engine Department located in Zhangqiu Industrial Park has created "Heavy Steam Speed". This department was completed in May 2005, when finished engines were off the assembly line; mass production was achieved in 2006; and 44,000 engines were produced last year. The engine plant has not been completed and the first batch of equipment has already entered the factory. It usually takes 3 months for the engine to be commissioned, but this department only took 20 days.

In the past eight years, China National Heavy Duty Truck has applied for 803 patents, of which 656 have been granted patents.
