Recently, Shanxi Medical University commitment to science and technology infrastructure platform construction project in Shanxi Province "optical molecular imaging research platform for scientific research and development of equipment" passed the expert group acceptance.

The project is based on the existing laboratory and research team of Shanxi Medical University and builds an optical molecular imaging engineering research platform. The system is capable of stimulating fluorescent labels of targeted labeled fluorophores in vivo to fluoresce, simultaneously capturing fluorescent signals, converting optical signals into electrical signals, displaying the digital anatomical images, optical molecular functional images and the fused images of both on a computer , And combined with image processing technology to accurately quantify, qualitative, time, location and tracing of biological characteristics of living cells and biological macromolecules in vivo, real-time identification of living tumor tissue, lymph nodes, lymphatic vessels and blood vessels.

It is reported that this system has independent intellectual property rights in our country, which will help to solve some major scientific and technological problems in life science research, enhance our country's original innovation capability in this field and produce certain economic and social benefits.
