By-product gold and silver raw materials for colored heavy metallurgy

Due to the development of modern production technologies, especially commonly used electrolysis process, and therefore non-ferrous heavy metals from metallurgical intermediate products get a lot of gold and silver. A method for producing gold and silver from colored heavy metal by-products is generally referred to as a colored heavy metal smelting by-product.

Practice proved that modern mines, copper, nickel, lead, zinc, bismuth, antimony, chromium sulfide deposits and deposits contain a noble metal. However, due to the different mineralization conditions of the deposit and the symbiotic combination of minerals, the content of precious metals and the types of precious metals contained are quite different. Generally, copper sulfide gold bed, more silver, nickel sulfide, chromium deposits often contain small amounts of gold, silver and platinum group metals more, lead sulfide, zinc and bismuth deposits generally contain large amount of silver, and antimony , arsenic, tellurium and gold deposits often form symbiotic gold deposits antimony, tellurium and gold deposits arsenopyrite gold deposit and the like. In addition, many colored heavy metal deposits have a mining value because they contain a considerable amount of precious metals. In modern times, the refining of copper, nickel, lead, zinc and other metals is generally carried out by electrolysis, although it is relatively simple and easy to operate and control; on the other hand, it is also due to by-products (anode mud) from electrolysis. Almost all of the precious metals in the crude metals can be recovered, and the value of these precious metals often exceeds the cost of expensive electrolysis.

The non-ferrous heavy metal smelting by-product method mainly recovers precious metals from the following by-product materials:

1. Copper electrolytic anode slime and wet steelmaking leaching slag;

Second, nickel electrolytic anode mud;

3. Lead-electrolytic anode mud or fire method to refine the silver-zinc shell produced by lead;

4. Distillation slag of steamed zinc or leaching slag of wet zinc smelting;

Fifth, pyrite cinders;

6. Precious metal-containing by-products produced by ore metallurgy such as tin , antimony, bismuth, mercury , and chromium.

In modern hydrometallurgy, when the leaching slag of copper, nickel or other ore or concentrate contains a certain amount of gold and silver, large-scale vortex furnace smelting method with low cost and large processing capacity is often used to make gold, silver and copper. After the enrichment of the valuable metals, further separation and refining and purification are carried out.
