The Intellectual Property Protection Office of Sinopec Baling Petrochemical Company reported a few days ago that up to now, the company has applied for 443 patents in total, of which 207 have been authorized by the State Intellectual Property Office. Baling Petrochemical was also awarded the title of Excellent Enterprise in Intellectual Property Cultivation Project of Hunan Province. It is reported that Baling Petrochemical's patented technology creates annual economic benefits of more than 200 million yuan, and the proportion of patented product sales revenue reaches 30%.

It is reported that more than 90% of the patents that the company has been authorized are closely related to the main business, and more than 100 patented technologies have been implemented in the production of cyclohexanone, caprolactam, lithium polymer, and epoxy resin. In the company's “Five-Reform, Seven-Build-One-Support” special chemical construction project, more than 30 patented technologies applied by the company as the main body were adopted. Among them, the caprolactam plant has tapped 14 patents for tapping potential projects, and the annual production of 60,000 tons of special lithium polymer construction projects has used 13 patents, and the annual output of 50,000 tons of special epoxy resin construction projects has adopted 4 patents.

Last year, the company disaggregated and issued the application index for annual service invention patents of each business department according to 40 assessment indicators, and incorporated the patent application amount into the assessment of the company's economic responsibility system. Of the 49 patents newly filed by the company's 8 units, 42 were invention patents, which were centered on the company's main operations such as oil refining, cyclohexanone, synthetic rubber, epoxy resin, and caprolactam. Among the patents applied, more than 20 patents dealing with high-concentration spent caustic soda and a method for reducing ammonia deuterated COD, such as energy-saving emission reduction and clean production, have played a good role in production practice.
