China's auto exports have entered a fourth year of high growth. Although China’s auto exports still account for only a small share of the world’s auto trade, it has caused great concern in the world’s auto trade market. A few days ago, the China Automotive Association of Mechanical and Electrical Products Import and Export Chamber of Commerce issued a semi-annual report on China's automobile exports from January to June 2007. It can be seen from the data analysis that there have been some encouraging changes in China's auto export situation and the whole is now entering a virtuous development cycle.
The macro-control is effective and the auto exports are entering a virtuous circle
Experts from the Automotive Branch of the China Chamber of Commerce for Mechanical and Electrical Products Imports and Exports pointed out that from the first half of the year, under the active guidance of the government, the scale of China’s auto exports continued to expand, the export market continued to expand, and the grade and technical level of export products continued to increase, branding and The work of improving after-sales service has been continuously strengthened, and some problems that have arisen in the auto exports have been continuously corrected and are now entering a virtuous cycle.
Experts from the Automotive Branch of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products told reporters that the export order is disordered, export companies are scattered, disorderly, poor, and vicious competition is a problem that has existed for a long time in China's auto exports, which is not conducive to the healthy development of China's auto industry. To this end, five ministries and commissions including the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Commerce issued the “Circular on Regulating Auto Export Ordersâ€. From March 1 this year, it decided on vehicle complete products (including passenger cars, commercial vehicles, chassis, and complete sets of spare parts. The implementation of export license management, and the qualifications and restrictions on the qualifications and conditions of automobile production enterprises and exporting enterprises that apply for automobile export licenses, and clear penalties for violations.
Macro-control and active guidance have obvious effect on China's auto exports. From the first half of 2007, China’s auto vehicle exports maintained a strong growth momentum, with 241,000 units of all types of auto vehicles (including complete sets of spare parts, including the chassis with an engine), an increase of 71.2% year-on-year; export value of 27 Billion US dollars, an increase of 110.7% over the same period last year. The number and amount of exports have reached 70.1% and 86.2% of the previous year, accounting for 0.87% of the total export value of China's machinery and electronic products. In particular, the average unit price of exported cars has reached US$11.20 million, a year-on-year increase of 23%.
Among them, according to the comparison of export amount, trucks are still ranked first in China's auto exports. The number of exports reached 104,000 units in the first half of the year, an increase of 59.1% year-on-year, accounting for 43.2% of China's total exports; the export amount was 792 million US dollars, an increase of 85.3% year-on-year, accounting for 29.3% of China's total export vehicle value.
Passenger car exports, small displacement models are not the only
The export of cars has always been the focus of wide attention from all walks of life. According to the semi-annual report on automobile exports issued by the China Automobile Products Import & Export Chamber of Commerce, the export of small cars in China is not the only one with a small displacement below 1500ml. The export growth of gasoline-powered cars with a displacement of 1500ml to 2500ml is extremely high. Prominently, it has become the main product of China's small car exports.
The semi-annual report shows that in the first half of 2007, the number of cars exported from China was 67,000, an increase of 94.2% year-on-year, accounting for 27.8% of the total number of cars exported by China; the export amount was 520 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 112.5% year-on-year, accounting for China’s auto exports. The 19.1% of the total amount is still a very fast growing product category in China's auto exports. The share of China's auto exports has also been greatly improved.
Experts said that in the first half of this year, the export volume of gasoline-powered cars with a displacement of 1500ml to 2500ml was very prominent. The number of exports was 35,000, an increase of 527.7% year-on-year, and the export amount was 253 million US dollars, an increase of 534.78% year-on-year. , Which accounted for 51.6% and 48.9% of the export volume and amount of sedan cars, replaced gasoline-powered sedan cars with a displacement of 1000ml to 1500ml for the first time, becoming the main products for export of sedan cars in China.
At the same time, gasoline-powered cars with a displacement of 1000ml to 1500ml had a export volume of 28,000 vehicles in the first half of the year and an export value of US$242 million, which accounted for 42.2% and 46.8% of the export volume and amount of cars. The two displacement cars accounted for 93.8% of China's export volume of small cars and 95.7% of the export value.
In addition, China’s national enterprises with completely independent brands continue to maintain their advantages and make the most important contribution to improving the export share of China’s small cars.
Open up new markets, with significant growth in Eastern Europe and South America
Experts from the Automotive Branch of the China Chamber of Commerce for Mechanical and Electrical Products Imports and Exports pointed out that in the first half of the year, the international market for China's auto vehicles is relatively stable. The Middle East, Africa, and Asia are traditional markets, and Europe, and mainly Eastern Europe, have been vigorously developed. Europe has become one of the major markets for China's auto exports.
In the first half of 2007, China exported cars to 177 countries (regions) in the world, which is basically the same as in 2006. In terms of country statistics, Russia ranked first in the country market, with an export value of 450 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 355.8% year-on-year, and an export volume of 38,600 vehicles, an increase of 477.6% year-on-year. Both the proportion of accounts and the number accounted for more than 16%. The growth is extremely prominent, and the above data are all over 2006.
Kazakhstan, ranked second, is also a fast-growing market for China’s auto exports. The number of exports was 6,445, an increase of 223.7% year-on-year, and the export value was 184 million US dollars, an increase of 298.9% year-on-year. Iran is still a big market for automobile exports, but its growth rate has dropped significantly. The export amount was 170 million U.S. dollars, an increase of -11.3% year-on-year, and the number of exports was 8.221 million, an increase of 8.1% year-on-year.
In addition, other countries with more than 100 million U.S. dollars include Algeria, Syria, Vietnam, South Africa, and Ukraine. Including these countries, China has a total of 42 countries (regions) with a total export volume of more than US$10 million. The total export value accounted for 89.4% of the total, accounting for 90.9% of the total exports, forming the most important market for China’s auto exports.
According to the statistics of the continents, the gap between Europe, which is an emerging market, and Asia, the traditional first market, is narrowing. Judging from the export value of automobiles, in the first half of the year, China’s exports to Asia remained the first place, accounting for 39.0% of the total exports. Europe ranked second in Africa and the total amount of exports rose to 30.7%; followed by Africa, South America, North America and Oceania. “It can be seen from the statistical data that China’s traditional markets, Asia and Africa have grown steadily, while emerging markets, such as Europe and South America, have shown significant growth,†the experts said.
The "advantage" is even more obvious. One-fifth of companies have completed 90% of their tasks.
In terms of exporting auto companies, experts pointed out that more than 90% of China’s auto export volume and amount are created by less than one-fifth of all auto export vehicle companies.
According to customs statistics, in the first half of 2007, a total of 1,100 companies in China had car export records. In the same period of 2006, there were 864 car export enterprises, which was an increase of 27.3% year-on-year. Among them, there are five enterprises (including the group) with an export amount of over 100 million U.S. dollars; the export amount is less than 100 million U.S. dollars; the number of enterprises with 50 million U.S. dollars or more is four; the export value is less than 50 million U.S. dollars, and the enterprises with more than 30 million U.S. dollars are Home; exports of 30 million US dollars the following, more than 10 million US dollars of the company's 29; export amount of 10 million US dollars, more than 3 million US dollars in the company's 67. There are 115 companies with export amounts below USD 3 million and over USD 1 million. The above-mentioned total of 228 companies accounted for 93% of the total export volume and quantity, which only accounted for 16.1% of the total number of auto export enterprises.
Among them, Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., Honda Automobile (China) Co., Ltd., China National Heavy-duty Truck Group Co., Ltd., Great Wall Motor Co., Ltd., and China FAW Group Import & Export Co., Ltd. have achieved outstanding results in China's auto vehicle exports.
Experts pointed out that although China’s auto exports currently account for only a small share of the world’s auto trade, it has caused great concern in the world’s auto trade market. The performance of China's export vehicles has recently encountered similar incidents such as “collision gates†in the international community. Certain countries’ trade barriers and non-trade barriers have also caused some obstacles to China’s auto exports. In this regard, we should have enough attention and sober understanding. â€
