A series of progresses have been made in the field of multi-band observations of large-scale oscillations in Japan.

[ China Instrument Network Instrument R&D ] Recently, the member of the Purple Mountain Observatory Green Promotion Committee of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the associate researcher of the multi-band observation research group of the Sun Activity, Zhang Qingji, have made series of progresses in the field of large-scale oscillation research.

Figure: Schematic diagram of the interaction between EUV wave and corona cavity accompanying solar explosion activity (flares and coronal mass ejection). The corona in the cavity experienced vertical oscillation.
Solar magnetic fields play a key role in various outbreak activities. Because of the difficulties caused by many complex factors such as thin optics and scattered light, the direct measurement of solar magnetic field is very difficult. Extrapolation using the photospheric magnetic field as a boundary is one of the ways to indirectly calculate the Cen magnetic field. Another approach is to use a paradox or sunburst parameter (such as period) to diagnose a solar or solar magnetic field under a certain model.
Zhang Qingqi and others fully used the high-resolution and multi-band observation data of ground and space telescopes to conduct detailed analysis of typical large-scale solar oscillation events (horizontal, vertical, and longitudinal oscillations) and studied the trigger mechanism of oscillation. (Magnetic reconnections, corona jets, and EUV waves in the dark channel), oscillation parameters (amplitude, period, decay time scale, etc.) change with time and space, and diagnosis of the coronal magnetic field.
This series of work reveals the diversity of the trigger mechanism of the solar oscillation, the complexity of the oscillation behavior, and the effectiveness of the magnetic field diagnosis method. It has received extensive attention from international counterparts and provides certain ground for future ground and space telescope instrument design and scientific goals. Guidance and reference. Related articles have been published in The Astrophysical Journal (Zhang et al. 2017 ApJ 842, 27; Zhang et al. 2017 ApJ 851, 47; Zhang & Ji 2018 ApJ 860, 113).
Based on the outstanding contributions of the team in the field of multi-band observations of the Sundial oscillation, Zhang Qingqi will be invited to Tenerife, Spain in early September to give a 30-minute invitation report at the BUKS2018 International Conference. The theme of the BUKS2018 conference is the wave and instability in the solar atmosphere.
The above-mentioned series of work is funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (11333009), Major Funds (11790302), General Programs (11473071, 11573072, 11773079), the Space Science and Strategy Pilot Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (XDA15052200), the Chinese Academy of Sciences' 100-person plan project, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ green promotion. It will also be funded by the Jiangsu Provincial Project (BK20161618).
